Due to increase in business we are now hiring for the following positions:

Receptionist

We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Receptionist to work on a seasonal contract between April to October 2017. This is a customer focused role, where the Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to all visitors at Denbies with special emphasis upon the ‘Welcome’.

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure prompt answering of the telephone and a professional and pleasant approach to callers.
  • Responsible for security of the reception area – locking up, cash, PC etc
  • To ensure that reception and tour staff are aware and up to date with developments on a daily basis.
  • To manage the sale of tour tickets and the smooth running of the tours.
  • To ensure that the welcome board is accurate and that all leaflet holders are full.
  • Involvement in the organisation and cellar activities as and when required i.e. Xmas grotto and be-spoke winery tours and events.
  • Deal with visitor enquiries, requests and complaints in a professional and considerate manner.
  • Manage deliveries to reception and ensure that they are collected or disbursed as soon as possible.
  • To be responsible for all general Health & Safety measures and ensure all legal and company requirements are adhered to

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Maths, English GCSE Grade C + above
  • knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • knowledge of computers and relevant software application
  • knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • keyboard skills
  • ability to work a switchboard

Conference & Banqueting Coordinator

Denbies Wine Estate is currently recruiting for a Conference & Banqueting Coordinator to work alongside the Events Manager and Corporate Events Manager.
As the Conference & Banqueting Coordinator you will be responsible to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the C&B Department and to undertake administrative task;

  • Take enquiries and bookings for conference & banqueting events via telephone and emails.
  • Prepare, update and file all correspondences relating to C & B.
  • Prepare C & B Function Sheet with completed final and accurate details for both the clients and the operational side of Denbies.
  • Log all C & B enquiries and maintain an effective follow – up system to secure business and provide and after sales service in order to secure repeat business.
  • Follow up brochure request with a courtesy call
  • Compile statistics on a monthly basis of conversion and functions room usage.
  • Attend weekly function meeting, and also responsible in taking minutes for the meeting.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and other activities as required.
  • To carry out show rounds as and when required
  • To assist the team in sending out contracts and raising invoices.
  • You will also be required to work one a day a week for the wedding department, experience in coordinating wedding is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in Food Services would also be essential, as the role will involve in overseeing working lunches and large banqueting events.

Requirements

  • A positive can-do attitude towards working within a team with the ability to motivate others
  • Previous experience in conference & banqueting level is essential
  • Previous experience in coordinating wedding is essential
  • Organised with high level of attention to detail

Retail Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant for our Gift Shop; to work on a Fixed Term Contract between April to the 31st October. You will be working three days out seven including two weekends out of four. You will be working along the Retail Supervisor and the existing Retail Sales Assistant Team. You will be required to maximise sales and deliver exceptional customer service and to maintain high standards on the sales floor and in the back areas.

Experience of dealing with customers and dealing with enquiries.

Indoor Tour Guide

This is a customer focused position, where the tour guide is responsible for making sure that the highest standard of presentation is delivered to the customer in whatever visitor activity they are taking part, private wine tastings, the Vine and Dine experience and the Winery tour and tastings.

To be worked on a rota basis including two weekends out of four between 09.00 -17.30
Good communication skills, confident, professional team player.
