OUTDOOR EVENTS AT DENBIES
Denbies Halloween 10km & 2KM
Saturday October 28
Halloween is thought to date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and dress up in costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. Today it’s a time of celebration: of fun and frivolity, of sweet treats and desperate tricks where ghosts and ghouls now try to scare away vampires, witches and werewolves.
This year 2:09 Events is celebrating Halloween on Saturday October 28 with a new terrifying 10K hosted by Denbies Vineyard near Dorking in Surrey. We are promising a dastardly route that undulates over paved tracks and off-road trails with a few tricks and special surprises along the way. There are prizes for the best costumes on display and lots of Halloween treats at the finish. For those who aren’t quite ready for 10K there is a family-friendly, scary sprint over a shorter 2K course. We dare you to give it a try!
Every finisher will get a special luminous medal and a goody bag at the end.
Denbies 5k Santa Run
10th December 2017
in association with
It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas and slipping into that red and white suit for a little festive fun and exercise. 2:09, as the organisers of London’s original Santa Run in Battersea Park 2:09 Events is now taking its Santa show on the road to our favourite new running venue, Denbies vineyard in Dorking in Surrey.
This new 5K Santa Run follows the traditional formula: hundreds of red-suited, bearded Santas run, jog or walk around a beautiful, traffic-free course against a backdrop of festive tunes and entertainment. The run is untimed and at the finish there’ll be a glass of mulled wine, a minced pie and a fabulous medal waiting for you. There’s free parking, a secure bag store and there’ll be plenty of festive entertainment on site for any non-running members of the family you want to bring along.
The entry fee is £25, which includes your free Santa Suit and its £15 for children under 15, who can have a soft drink rather than the mulled wine at the finish.
Venue: Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking

Entry Fee: Adults £25 / Children under 15 £15
