Winery Warehouse Manager

The English wine industry has seen rapid growth in the last ten years with an increase in production of both sparkling and still wine. Denbies Wine Estate is at the forefront of that expansion as English wine continues to grow into both domestic and international markets.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our Winery Team as warehouse operative and manager.

The role will focus on managing the supply chain process and working as part of the Winery team.

Your Role:

  • To carry out efficient management of the Winery Warehouse including stock control, delivering and packing deliveries.
  • Assisting the production team in bottling and labelling wine.
  • To maintain the warehouse to the highest standards, keeping the area tidy clean and safe. Attention to detail.
  • This role will be a hands on operational and also include administrative task.


A valid forklift truck licence and a D 1 Licence

The successful candidate will need to be physically fit, as there will be some heavy lifting work involved. Have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken and have a good level of accuracy.

This is a full-time permanent position working 5 days out 7, with occasional evenings and weekend work during the Harvest Season (September – October)

Working as part of the Winery Production Team, the right candidate would have a hands-on role in the final stages of creating bottles of sparkling and still wine.

The role would offer the right candidate an opportunity to advance in a dynamic and relatively new English industry.

We are currently recruiting for Harvest Cellar Hand to join our team for the 2018 vintage.

Harvest is expected to begin towards the end of September and run for approximately six weeks.

The role is varied, and the ability to be flexible is paramount. However, the position will mainly consist of crush pad activities, racking of juice, inoculations and the general maintenance of cellar hygiene standards. Some basic lab work may also be required.

A vintage at Denbies provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in cool climate winemaking and an insight into sparkling and still wine production at one of England’s premium estates.

A valid licence to drive a fork lift truck is preferred but not essential. Ideal candidates will have experience of working in several cellars including cool climate regions.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
