Bacchus starts and finishes at Denbies Wine Estate, England’s largest vineyard. With six wine tasting stations per lap, post race BBQ, fancy dress, stunning views and an international field, the focus of this event is fun, fun, FUN!

Denbies Bacchus half marathon was voted second best half in the UK by Runners World Readers in 2013 and 2014 and voted third best event over all in 2014.
Since 2014, 100% of runner’s who posted on Runner’s World have said they would do it again.
Finishers of the Full and Half Marathon will be presented with a technical t-shirt (available in Small, Medium, Large or X-large), medal, post race hog roast and complimentary drink on completion of the race.
Entrants for the full or half marathon are required to be 18 years or above.

The route is one lap (Half) or two laps (Full) and starts and finishes at the marvellous Denbies Vineyard near Dorking, Surrey. The route is undulating (with one significant hill) and multi-terrain
Using footpaths along the North Downs Way, you will be guaranteed breath taking views over the Mole Valley, Ranmore Common and the North Downs.

As England’s largest vineyard Denbies Wine Estate has been producing award winning wines since 1986. It is the first wine estate in the world to give visitors of all ages a unique and fascinating insight into all aspects of the wine producing process, all year round, with indoor and outdoor tours and tasting.
The vineyards of Denbies Estate are situated on the North Downs with its famous chalky soil, in a protected valley of south facing slopes.
The venue has secure baggage, toilets and changing facilities (sorry, no showers). Refreshments are available for purchase from the restaurant and a post race Hog Roast will be provided free of charge to all participants of the full and half marathon.
Friends, family and supporters are welcome to spend the day at Denbies with indoor wine tasting, art gallery, Farm Shop, Wine and Gift Shop and public footpath trails. Entry to the estate is free of charge.
GETTING THERE AND PARKING
Denbies is situated just off the A24 London Road, Dorking and is close to Junction 9 of the M25. The closest railway stations are Dorking and Boxhill & Westhumble stations.

- London Victoria – Dorking (60 minutes)
- London Waterloo – Dorking (50 minutes)
- Horsham – Dorking (20 minutes)
- Guildford – Dorking Deepdene (20 minutes)
We strongly suggest you come by public transport if you can and remember to check details of any planned engineering works. Remember to factor in walking time from the train station to Denbies. We would estimate a good 15 minute walk depending on which you use.
