Two drinks producers, one Surrey estate and a very good way to spend an afternoon. Gin in the Vines begins with a guided tasting of locally distilled gin, before settling in for sparkling afternoon tea overlooking the vineyard. 13:30 | Gin Tasting Experience Sample three seasonal gins from Dorking Distillery’s signature collection and discover the botanicals, ideas and local craft behind each one. Once you have chosen your favourite, settle in with a full gin and tonic before making your way to afternoon tea. 14:30 | Sparkling Afternoon Tea Continue your afternoon in the Wine Library Brasserie & Bar, home to one of the finest views across the Denbies vineyard. Enjoy a selection of sandwiches and cakes, scones with jam and cream, and a glass of Denbies award-winning sparkling wine, grown and made here on the estate.

The evening begins with a sparkling wine or soft drink on arrival, followed by a three-course meal with wine to accompany your dinner. Guests will enjoy entertainment throughout the meal from the wonderful vocalist Noelle Vaughn, before the evening continues with music from our resident DJ and disco until midnight.

Not quite Munich. Very much Denbies. On 3 October, we are borrowing the best bits of Oktoberfest. From 3pm, Brass Fusion will take over with two lively 45-minute sets, bringing big brass and familiar favourites from pop, rock, jazz and beyond. Alongside the music, there will be a suitably generous line-up of beer, Denbies wine, German-inspired food and freshly made pizzas. Come for the beer, stay for the brass, and raise a glass to an Oktoberfest that isn’t quite Oktoberfest. • Saturday 3 October • Notoberfest celebrations throughout the day • Live Brass Fusion performances: 3pm–5pm • Two 45-minute sets • Fancy dress is by no means expected, but it will be very warmly welcomed.

Explore the vineyard through the story of harvest, then enjoy lunch overlooking the vines. Beginning at midday, the Secret Vineyard Trail takes you through the heart of the estate. Along the way, discover what makes harvest such a defining moment in the vineyard calendar and how the decisions made at this time shape each new vintage. After the trail, take your seat in the Gallery Restaurant for a two-course lunch, with a choice of main course followed by dessert and panoramic views across the estate. Trainmaster is taking over Denbies for two days of hands-on railway fun, with a huge train layout to explore, ride-on trains, rollercoasters, a role-play ticket office and plenty more to keep young conductors occupied. With four sessions running each day, there are plenty of chances to climb aboard.

Enjoy far reaching views over the 265-acre vineyard from the relaxed surrounding of the Wine Library or private Cabanas.
