Secret Vineyard Tasting Trail (Hotel guests only)

‘A unique opportunity to experience areas of the vineyard not normally accessible to the general public’

The ‘Secret Vineyard Tasting Trail’ will only take place on Saturday’s during the height of the vineyard season and is weather dependent*.  Meet in Denbies reception, the trail will start outside the Farm Shop and will meander through the vines.  Throughout the trail, your Wine Guide will be providing information on the vineyard, grape varietals and the wine production at Denbies.  This is an informal tour so questions will be welcomed at all times.  The trail will change so no two days will be the same.

The Limes – this parcel is the heart of Muller Thurgau

Tasting Stop 2
The Dell – nestling half way up the Dell, this is the Rondo parcel,
famous for producing the Best Rosé in the World 2010

Tasting Stop 3
‘The Secret Vineyard’ Yew Tree Field – serious Pinot Noir country

Tasting Stop 4
The Hollow – Denbies estate honey and local cheese tasting with Denbies wine

You will then climb up to the highest point of the vineyard and return to the estate building

Length of tour – approx. 1½ /2 hours/distance approx. 5/6k

The vineyard trail takes you at a leisurely pace to some of the most beautiful viewing points in the vineyard. Experience the magnificent panoramic views of the 265 acres under vine with far reaching views over the Denbies Estate and the North Downs. Cameras are strongly recommended

Denbies Gin & Vine Experience

£125 per person – dates available on request

Experience a morning at the local ‘The Gin Kitchen’, producers of Gutsy Monkey, and get some hands-on distilling experience, learn about the craft of gin making, create your own botanicals and perfect the ultimate gin and tonic.

Followed by lunch in the Gallery Restaurant and an afternoon hosted by Denbies Wine Expert, where you will gain an understanding of the wine tasting experience – vine to glass – including a tour of the winery and vineyard

Exclusive to Denbies, this is an informative and enjoyable day.

10.00 Denbies Wine Estate
Tea/Coffee and Danish Pastry served on arrival.

10.30 Gutsy Monkey
During the visit to The Gin Kitchen , you will learn all the craft of gin making, choose your botanicals and create your own Gin.

13.00 Lunch
Return to Denbies for your perfect Gin and Tonic made with your gin and followed by a hot lunch.

14.30 Denbies Winery
The afternoon will be spent in the working winery with our Denbies wine expert.  You will then be invited to try a selection of Denbies award winning wines.

Due to the fact that Denbies is a working winery, bottling, labelling and filtering of the wines may also be taking place.

‘Indoor Cinema Vineyard Tour’ The tour starts in the new flat screen cinema featuring ‘The Vineyard Through the Seasons’. Learn about the geology and history of the estate and experience the changes in the vineyard through the seasons and appreciate the wine making process from vine to bottle.

Alfresco tasting – Tasting of three of Denbies Classic wines, tasting glass and notes to take away

Two course lunch in The Conservatory Restaurant (table style service) with a glass of Denbies award winning wine or soft drink

Vineyard Restaurant  Sparkling Afternoon Tea & Tour

Enjoy the panoramic views of the estate on the Outdoor Vineyard Train with a glass of Denbies Sparkling.
Cameras recommended.  Guests will alight at the Vineyard Hotel.

Traditional afternoon tea with sparkling wine will be served in the Vineyard Restaurant, which offers far reaching views over the avenues of vines.

Chimney Fire Coffee

The roastery is located in the peaceful Surrey Hills, where they’ve been based since 2017. The converted stables now houses a 15kg small-batch roaster, purpose built production area, technical client training / tasting room, and importantly, their roasting team who consistently produces exceptional coffee. As a team they are extremely passionate about sourcing, roasting and developing recipes for each and every coffee we roast.
