Dorking Museum – Dorking Museum aims to preserve and present the heritage of Dorking and its surrounding villages and countryside by collecting, conserving, interpreting and displaying items of historic interest, and to provide facilities for study and research. Located on West Street, next to a selection of antiques emporiums.
Dorking Halls – Dorking Halls is a local theatre and cinema. It provides year-round entertainment whether it be a live show or the latest film. Just off the cockerel roundabout, at the beginning of the high street.
Bourneside Gallery – Offering a sought-after collection of ceramics, glass, original limited editioned prints and furniture from the mid-20th century, together with art from selected British printmakers and Surrey Artists plus our popular range of greeting cards and stationery. Located just off the high street.
Polesden Lacy – Polesden Lacey is an Edwardian house and estate, located on the North Downs at Great Bookham, near Dorking, Surrey, England. It is owned and run by the National Trust and is one of the Trust’s most popular properties.
North Downs Way – The North Downs Way National Trail offers walkers 153 miles (246 Km) of spectacular scenery, picturesque villages and glorious rolling countryside, passing through the Surrey Hills and Kent Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A small walk from the Vineyard Hotel and you will begin your walking journey on the North Downs Way.
Surrey Hills AONB – The purpose of the AONB designation is to conserve the natural beauty of the landscape. The vision for the Surrey Hills recognises that the landscape will change but it needs to ensure that it changes in a way that conserves and enhances its special qualities.
John Arthur Gallery – In 1995 he established The John Arthur Gallery in the Old Kings Head Court with his business partner Sung-hee LEE just off the Dorking High Street where he exhibits his own work alongside pieces by other selected artists.
The Dorking Deli – At the end of the historic West Street is a small café which sources local produce and is an eco-friendly answer to coffee. Located at the end of West Street.
The Vineyard – Located in the historic Market Town of Dorking on South Street, “The Vineyard” is an Independent Wine Merchant offering a wide range of wines, spirits and beers to retail and trade customers for over five years, backed up by informative, friendly advice.
Sorrel –Sorrel is a Michelin-starred modern fine dining restaurant, based in the heart of Dorking. Inspired by simplicity and discovery its menus constantly evolve to follow and reflect the seasons. In 2018 Sorrel won Restaurant of the Year (England) at the AA Hospitality Awards.
St. Martin’s Church – St Martin’s Church is a stunning Victorian Grade 2 listed building which has a fascinating history. For more than a thousand years Christians have worshipped on this site in the centre of our busy market town. The church’s spire can be seen for miles around.
Traditional Market – Dorking’s traditional market has been running for over 700 years. Modern traffic needs have moved the market from the High Street to its present location behind St Martins Church in the main St Martins Walks car park, every Friday from 8.30am to 3.00pm.
Boxhill and Stepping Stones trail – A lovely walk down to the River Mole and back up. The Stepping Stones are an iconic landmark in this part of Surrey and they’re a perfect spot to stop and watch the river flow by. The secluded entrance is a short walk from Denbies Wine Estate, taking a left at the roundabout.
The Gin Kitchen – The Gin Kitchen is a distillery in the Surrey Hills crafting fabulous spirits with love and laughter. Their magnificent 170-year-old barn is open for tours, tasting and distilling experiences and the shop and cocktail bar stocks their range of award-winning gins. A short drive from Denbies Wine Estate, on Punchbowl Lane.
Surrey Hills Brewery – Visit the Brewery to drink a pint of fresh beer straight from the cask or buy some to take home. We also run Brewery Tours. Gift vouchers for Tours, Beer and Merchandise can also be purchased. The brewery is behind Denbies Wine Estate, on the premises.
Village Green Farmshop – Village Greens specialise in selling fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, including our own grown from our Victorian walled garden at Denbies Wine Estate and our growing fields at Ockley. You can shop for a meal to cook from scratch, local wines, specialist food ingredients.
