Harvest 2025: Sunshine, Sugar & Smiles
Well, what a season that was!
2025 kicked off with a splash — literally. January and February gave us 231mm of rain, which had us wondering if we’d need a boat more than a tractor. But then, as if someone flipped a switch, the weather turned glorious. From March through to September, we had just 212mm of rain and a whole lot of sunshine — perfect for happy vines and busy vineyard crews.
With the sun shining and the vines thriving, things moved fast. Our team was flat out keeping up with growth, tweaking pruning systems, and generally making the most of what was shaping up to be a cracking vintage.
September teased us with a few rainy days (cue nervous glances and flashbacks to 2019), but Mother Nature came through. The harvest window was dry, warm, and sunny — just what we needed.
And the result? Our earliest harvest ever — starting on the 5th of September and wrapping up by the 16th of October. That’s 2–3 weeks ahead of schedule, with fruit that was clean, sweet, and bursting with potential. We even rolled out our new harvester, which made light work of the beautiful crop.
This year’s harvest was one for the books — a reminder of what’s possible when the weather plays nice and the team brings their A-game. We can’t wait to see (and taste!) what these grapes become.
Cheers to 2025 — the vintage that raised the bar. 🍷
