Minimal Pruning
Minimal Pruning
29th April
Denbies pioneers new method of growing grapes in the Uk. Minimal pruning. This produces more bunches, but of smaller size and a consequent higher ratio of skin:flesh. This results in wines with greater aroma intensity and body. It also mitigates the risk of crop loss to late spring frosts and is therefore well suited to the lower lying areas of the vineyard which may be at risk.
